We named this horse Lucky, because we feel she is lucky. Severely undernourished, we moved her right to the training barn for some extra tender loving care. She has become a barn favorite. Everyone stops by her stall to give her a treat and some extra patting. She has responded very well, gaining weight, and learning how to lead, how to longe, what the saddle means, and how to balance under a rider. Yes, within the two last weeks, she has learned how to carry a rider! This horse is very smart, and very loving. She tries to please. She will most likely remain a pony at about 14hh, she is 4 yrs. old, and she has a small hernia which does not seem to bother her in the least--and which can be corrected surgically if need be. She would do well in a family situation--she loves to be loved.
Lucky's new name is Angel, and here she is at her forever home. Lucky Angel!
