Help! I have a beautiful 14 yr old Haflinger gelding. I had bought him with the hopes of riding and driving him, but due to pregnancy (mine), lack of time (mine), I have not been able to bring him along in the way that I wanted. His previous owner told me that he is an Amish trained driving horse. I have had him for 4-5 years, but have not been able to give him the time that he needs. He is a strong horse, beautiful and willing. He loves to be worked around and trained. He has a wonderful friendly personality, and has never kicked or tried to bite. He is fearless--we had him in our cow pasture during calving, and he chased off coyotes from the baby calves. Unfortunately, because he is such an easy keeper, he had a mild episode of founder last year. This year, he is moving well, but cannot free-range. I do not have a small paddock situation to limit his feed. This horse is free to a good home. Contact Melissa at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
